Julie graduated from Trinity College Dublin in 2023 with a BAin Chemistry . During her undergraduate studies, Julie completed a final year research project with the McGouran group in the Trinity Biomedical Sciences Institute focused on synthesising biologically responsive monomers. Her PhD project focuses on developing biologically responsive microstructures by combining state-of-the-art 3D fabrication and characterisation techniques with stimuli-responsive materials. She is part of the Centre for Doctoral Training in the Advanced Characterisation of Materials and is completing this project under the co-supervision of Dr Larisa Florea in Trinity College Dublin and Dr Nazila Kamaly in Imperial College Dublin.
