Eva

Eva completed her BA (mod) in Chemistry at Trinity College Dublin in 2016. Her research focuses on developing activity-based probes for DNA-damage repair enzymes, specifically 5’-3’ exonucleases. These poorly characterised enzymes play crucial roles in DNA crosslink repair and their inhibition could improve the success DNA crosslinking drugs in cancer therapy. Activity-based probes are useful tools for studying these enzymes in their native environment as well as for screening potential inhibitors.
