Neil

Neil graduated in 2016 after completing a BA (mod.) in Biochemistry in Trinity College Dublin. His PhD project focuses on the synthesis and testing of a panel of activity based probes for deubiquitinating enzymes (DUBs). In particular novel probes for the JAB1/MPN/Mov34 Metalloprotease (JAMM) class of DUBs. Deregulation of these and other DUBs has been implicated in disease such as cancer, neurodegeneration and inflammatory diseases so there is a need for comprehensive tools to help in their study.
